Ryan was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that slowly breaks down all the organs and muscles in your body, at a very young age. He has required the use of a wheelchair for about the last 30 years. Though he has beaten the odds for his life expectancy, his disease continues to progress, and with that, so do his needs. Ryan’s current chair is no longer meeting his needs for an acceptable quality of life.
